UFC 124 Georges St Pierre Vs Josh Koscheck

VThe UFC's undisputed king of MMA welterweights—and French-Canadian 170 lb. phenom, Georges St. Pierre—spoke recently in this article regarding next month's battle with fellow TUF coach Josh Koscheck, who, it is now safe to say, could be the most-despised cage-fighter in MMA history, bar none.

UFC 124: St-Pierre vs. Koscheck 2, is scheduled to be held here in Canada, on St. Pierre's home-turf, Montreal, Quebec, at the now-famous Bell Centre—which is also home to one of hockey's greatest dynasty's, the Montreal Canadians.

So the odds that Koscheck will emerge victorious next month in this Canadian Arena are somewhat stacked against him, to say the least.

Also, not only has "Kos" already, once previously, been beaten by St. Pierre, at UFC 74, in August of 07, but he has also been knocked-out as recently as last February, at UFC 95, by the currently-regressing, Brazilian MMA fighter, Paulo Thiago.

In addition, it's my opinion, that Koscheck's pathetic, and controversial victory's over Anthony Johnson, Paul Daley, and the long-past-prime, Frank Trigg, should have awarded the cheating fighter—who was caught on tape—with a UFC suspension, and fine, rather than a welterweight title shot.

In any event, here is what St. Pierre had to say regarding Koscheck:

“Yeah, I think he’s going to try to take me down," said the champion.

I also think he’s going to try to knock me out with his big right hand, but I know him well, I’ve been studying so much tape on him, I’ve got to the point where I know Josh Koscheck probably better than he even knows himself," St. Pierre added.

"My coaches have been studying him a lot, and also, being with him on the Ultimate Fighter for eight weeks was a way for me to know him a little bit better as a person and as a fighter. "

"I knew how he was going to act before I got there. I think he was like that to get inside my head, and to keep the fans entertained. I don’t think he’s a bad person in any way. I just think that it's his way to motivate himself, to be the bad guy," added GSP.

I will win, that’s all I can say. either by submission or knockout. ”

* So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss. If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.— Sun Tzu ( The Art Of War)
